Balan Wonderworld Reveals Extremely Wacky Opening Movie

Balan Wonderworld is an upcoming 3D Platformer from The Balan Company and Square Enix. The championship, which is being developed past some of the team backside the original Sonic The Hedgehoggames including Yuji Naka and Naoto Oshima, is due for release March 26, 2022.

The game was originally revealed during the pre-show of the Xbox Games Showcase back in March and has since been shown off during a Nintendo Direct Partner Presentation. While details on the game have and then far been adequately sparse, Square has revealed that in that location will be a total of 12 worlds to explore and more than 80 different abilities to collect.

Alongside the short appearances during events, Square has now revealed the opening movie to the game and information technology's exactly equally wacky equally you'd expect.

The video is accompanied by some blurb, which reads:

"The BALAN WONDERWORLD Opening Picture show sets the stage for Leo and Emma'due south adventure in Wonderworld. Watch as the Balan Theatre comes to life in this wondrous activeness platformer take a chance. Twelve unlike tales await our stars in Wonderworld, each with their own unique quirks."

The opening movie starts with the game'southward two protagonists, Leo and Emma, strolling through a beautiful city towards the Balan Theatre. Every bit they enter they're spotted by a weird figure sabbatum on a chair, who approaches them, tells them they're missing a slice of their heart, and then breaks into a wonderful song and dance. The trip the light fantastic is full of bright, psychedelic colours, cute fluffy creatures and an array of environments, including a brief spell underwater. The movie fits the tone and the artful of what we've seen of the game and then far and certainly adds to the intrigue of what the final game will entail when information technology releases.

Balan Wonderworld is due to drop on 26th March 2022 for Nintendo Switch, PC (Via Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Series X.
